Breathing Space

The area between page elements is universally termed breathing space. Generally, the more breathing space between elements, the better the design of the layout. You shouldn’t create too little breathing space with elements grouped too closely together and you shouldn’t space them too far apart or it would be a waste of space. So place your elements far enough at an intermediate level so that it looks nice.
