If at any time you need help designing layouts, don’t feel bad if you have to look at existing publications such as Web sites, magazines, newsletters, advertisements, etc. to help you. After all, you’re probably a novice in the Web design area if you purchased this book so you may need some help getting started.

We recommend you review what other designers created to give you ideas and inspire your design, if necessary. If you haven’t spent much time on the Web, this is a good time to get acquainted with how a Web site looks like. You’ll find a section at the back of this book containing a listing of various Web sites pertaining to Web site design and development. Also worth looking at is the book, "The Web Design Wow! Book" by Jack Davis and Susan Merritt. In this full-color book, you’ll find numerous Web sites and other media extensively reviewed and nicely categorized.
