The advantage of adding a movie clip or video sequence to your site is that it has potential to make your site more attractive and have greater value. The downside of implementing video clips to your Web pages is their download time factor. Most video clips seemingly take forever to download.
QuickTime media is popularly used to implement video to Web pages. AVI files are another popular media option. If you think download time isn’t that great (try keeping it under 3-4 minutes at the most), then go ahead and see how using video on your site goes. It might be a great investment towards the overall value of your site.
To add video, simply go to “Insert”, “Video…” and a dialog box should appear. If the video file is found locally, simply type in the filename and extension in the “From File” field. If the video is located on-line (please be sure you have the legal permission to link to it), simply type in the file’s location in the “From Location” field.
